How can you keep the wind from getting through the cracks of a door letterbox?

How can you keep the wind from getting through the cracks of a door letterbox. How do you make those doorstop things to keep the wind from under the door and what can you do about the letter box. Our front door opens direct into our living room. thanks.

  4. home depot sells the sweep that screws on the bottom of our door for drafts. You have a couple choices for the letterbox on your door. #1 put a mailbox outside of your door, and tape the door flap shut, or #2 make a bag to secure to the opening that is plastic lined. Secure with velcro, magnets or snaps.
  5. Try some foam rubber and duct tape or other sort of tape. Duct tape will leave a residue if you leave it on for a long period of time. If the letter slot is used, you'll need to seal it up somehow so it can still be used. If not, just cover it up with foam rubber or styrofoam as insulation and secure it in place.
